2. GARY PLAYER- He won 9 majors between 1959-1978. Player won the golf open 3 seperate times in 3 different decades. He won the grand slam in 1965.

3. BEN HOGAN- Hogan won 9 majors. In 1953 he swept the masters, the us open and the golf open. Known as the hawk for the way he makes the ball soar high in the air.

4. SAM SNEAD- Won 7 majors between 1942-1956. Snead or slammin sam as he was called is ranked number 1 all time for us tour victories.

5. TIGER WOODS- He has 74 pga tour wins, 38 european tour wins. By the time his career ends he will either be number 1 or 2 on this list no doubt about it. Also the highest earning endorsement athelete along with jordan of all time.

6. ARNOLD PALMER- He won 7 golf majors in his years of playing which were from 1958-1964. In the us open in 1965 he started 7 strokes back and won anyway, astonishing.

7. WALTER HAGAN- This guy won 11 golf majors between 1914 and 1929. He had a record setting 5 pga wins, 4 opens and 2 us opens.

8. TOM WATSON- He won 8 majors between 1975 and 1983. He beat the great jack nickalaus for his first open win and again for a us open victory.

9. GENE SARAZEN- He won 77 majors between his playing years of 1922 till 1935. Gene was probably the best short game player who ever played. He also won the second ever masters to be played.

10. BYRON NELSON- Nelson won 5 majors between the years of 1937 till 1945. He had a record that still stands today of 11 strait tour victories in his final year of 1945.
