BOXING MIKE TYSON HALL OF FAME
Most of the sports media dismisses Mike Tyson as an overrated fighter. Give this man his just due, the 2 time heavyweight champion and youngest heavyweight champion of all time unified all three major titles in the late 80s. Tyson beat the undefeated michael spinks in one round, critics say spinks was a blown up light heavyweight but this light heavyweight gave larry holmes his first ever pro defeat. Tyson also knocked out Larry Holmes in 4 rounds, critics claim Holmes was washed up but holmes came back 4 years after this defeat to beat an undefeated prime Ray Mercer and give Evander Holyfield a respectable fight. Also that was the first and only time Holmes was ever knocked out.So for the writers out there who said Tyson shouldnt be in the hall of fame all i can say is ask yourself from 1985 to 1988 was that Mike Tyson great, you better bet he was, did it last long ,not really but he still accomplished enough to get in the hall of fame, not to mention that along with Muhammad Ali he is the most famous fighter ever, i rest my case. An some how MIKE TYSON has reinvented his image by apperaring in the movies THE HANGOVER and THE HANGOVER 2. And he has a show called TAKING ON TYSON on ANIMAL PLANET, not to mention he is always on shows. Tyson has been on ABC on the show SAME NAME as well as DANCING WITH THE STARS ARGENTINA and MTVs CRIBS. In short MIKE TYSON is back.
