TOP 10 INVENTIONS OF THE 1940s

I must say that in this list as with all my best inventions list it must be noted that there are many other great inventions of the decade not mentioned. This is because these list are narrowed down to represent my personal top 10 as well as my personal follow up 10. I sincerely hope this hub is informative and more importantly was fun to read and brought back some fond memories of items that were invented in the 1940s but are still relevant even today.

1. COLOR TELEVISION- Sounds so common but before this came out all television was seen in standard black and white.This technology was tremendous at the time of its release.It came out in the late 40s for film and released in the 60s for residential consumers.

2. KONRAD ZUSES Z3- The worlds first computer controlled completely by software.At the time of its release the world was in shock. This set the standard for the future of pcs worldwide.

3. SLINKY- Richard James invented this fantastic toy that is fun for people of all ages from kid to adult, once you begin playing with this toy it is hard to stop. Back in the day when there was not many things to do it must have been a blast.

4. aerosol- Inventors Lyle David Goodloe and W.N. Sullivan and it made using cans much easier and also it was much safer for the environment. Women the world over discovered hairspray.

5. SILLY PUTTY- James Wright invented this simple yet fun little way to entertain whether you are alone or if you want to play with someone else.

6. KIDNEY DIALYSIS MACHINE- Like i always say any invention for the betterment of our people is a great thing indeed. The amount of lives this machine has saved is immeasurable.

7. MICROWAVE OVEN- This invention is very handy especially if you are in a hurry, instead of using the stove just nuke it in the microwave.

8. TUPPERWARE- A new and improved way to store your food products and it also helps in keeping it fresh. It was also the start of selling products in a different way than just going door to door it was called tupperware parties.

9. FRISBEE- This item was invented by Walter Frederick Morrison and Warren Franscioni. This hobby is fun but it is actually a great exercise.

10. VELCRO- Invented by George de Mestral. This made clothes and shoes go to a whole new dimension. It made using buttons not the only way of fastening clothing together.
