1. ALEXIS ARGUELLO- from 1978-1981 the explosive thin man made 8 defenses of the wba title. he fought and destroyed bobby chacon, cornelious boza  edwards, rafael limon just to name a few. utterly dominant.

2. FLASH ELORDE- champion from 1960-1967 he made 10 successful defenses he has wins over the great and ( dirty) sandy saddler, ismael laguna among others.

3. AZUMAH NELSON- nicknamed the professor, this 2 time champion held the title from 1988-1994 making 10 title defenses then he regained his title in 1995 and made one defenses of it. he beat among others hall of famer jeff fenech, gabriel rueles, jesse james leija.

4. FLOYD MAYWEATHER- he is called money or pretty boy, well he stayed pretty after every fight cause his defense and accurate punching were in a league of their own, champ from 1998-2002 he defended his wbc title 8 times with wins over the late diego corrales, genero hernandez, carlos hernandez, angel manfredy etc.

5. BRIAN MITCHELL- from 1986-1991 he defended his title 13 times, he also briefly reigned a second time in 1991. he beat alfred layne for the title, he also fought daniel londas, frankie mitchel, and lopez.

6. GENERO HERNANDEZ- until running into floyd mayweather hernandez was utterly dominant he fought and beat the great azumah nelson in a close one, from 1991-1994 he made 8 defenses of his championship , he also held the title from1997-1998 and defended it 3 times as well.

7. KID CHOCOLATE- champion from 1931-1933 he made 8 defenses he is one of the greatest cuban boxers ever he fought the likes of frankie click, fidel labarba, and bass.

8. BEN VILLAFLOR- champ from 1972-1973 and from 1973-1976 making 6 total defenses. fighting serrano, shibata, marcano, and uehara along the way. a very hard puncher despite what his knockout ratio shows.

9. JULIO CASAR CHAVEZ- champ from 1984-1987 he made 9 defenses of the wbc belt he beat roger mayweather, rocky lockridge, as well as juan la porte and mario martinez.

10. TOD MORGAN-from 1925-1929 he reigned as champ making 10 title defenses including fighting johnny dundee, steve sullivan, and ballerino and bass a early pioneer for this 130 pound weight class.
