1. THE BEATLES- Not only the best 60s rock band but one of the best rock groups in music history. John Lennon and Paul Mccartney, wow.
2. THE ROLLING STONES- Once again England takes the lead with another great band. The stones took over England and like The Beatles took over America.
3. ELVIS PRESLEY- He has to be respected because he in a way helped shape rock music for future generations with his movements and hip songs like, I aint nothing but a hound dog.
4.THE DOORS- Jim Morrison and his band made transcendent rock music that was rare and wild all at once. You either loved it or hated it. I loved it, Break on through.
5. JIMI HENDRIX- This guy was one of the best guitarist in music history. He died to soon but was still an amazing talent. Purple Haze.
6. CREAM- Eric Clapton and the crew had some outstanding instrumentals that was unheard of in the early 1960s. Eric Clapton competes with Hendrix for guitar supremacy.
7.LED ZEPLIN- This group not only was one of the best of the 60s but the 70s also. Some of there music such as Stairway to Heaven are considered music classics.
8. CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL- Music from Creedence has withstood bthe test of time. From movie soundtracks to remakes there music remains popular to the masses.
9. BOB DYLAN- Much of his music is folk music but he has a large body of rock music as well. Some of his music got the worlds attention, songs like, Hurricane.
10. THE WHO- Another British rock group who knew how to jam, The Who rocked hard. Anyone who heard The Who was hooked.

I totally agree with every one of your choices. I grew up in the era of these bands/musicians, and I think it's unmatched for the music that came out of that time!!

I may be a 90's child, but I love these groups, especially the Beatles! This proves how influential they are in the music industry

The beatles is my dad's favorite. That's why i grew up with them. I learned to lay the guitar with their songs. White album - fantastic! Also, George Harrison's While my Guitar Gently Weeps is a killer. moreover, the bass line of Get Back is really unselfish. the riff of John Lennon is simple yet very effetive. Great arrangement! Elvis Presley is not really a group but hey if you're the king you can practically do anything. lol.
